Guest Blog Four – Danielle Herbe

It has been a little while since we’ve had a guest blog on here. Mostly my fault. These seem to go over pretty well with readers and we have another good one. This one is from success story, Danielle “HerbDawg” Herbe. I posted a picture of one of her before and afters on FB and it was quite a hit and rightfully so, she’s been killing it. She covers pretty much everything I would say in her post so I’ll just let her take over…

“Hello, I’m Danielle Herbe, I am 24 and I began my journey with Mr. Twoguns and Twoguns Training Systems a little over 8 months ago. In college is when I really started to gain weight. I made excuses for everything. “I don’t have time to work out or make healthy food”, “I am stressed I need these snacks or a drink.” “I have hypothyroidism, I’ll always be heavy.” I spent my time studying and partying instead of working out and eating right. After graduating with my Masters degree in December, I decided that it was the perfect time to start fixing my 6 years’ worth of unhealthy habits and to start changing my life.

I knew the only way I would really stay committed to a fitness plan was with a personal trainer. My routine of going to the gym and running/walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes was not working and was something that I did not enjoy. When Dan was recommended to me, I didn’t know what to expect. I always pictured personal trainers to be like those on reality shows like the Biggest Loser. “Is he going to scream in my face?” “Will he make me cry?”

But Dan was different; he made me feel comfortable from day 1. He motivated me by making me feel good about what I was doing, praising me for new PRs, and making my little accomplishments feel like a big deal. He is definitely a coach and I think that’s why we work well together. I had always been involved in sports or participated in team events. I enjoy the team camaraderie and being a part of something. Training with Dan has made me part of a team again, the Twoguns Team, where I have met some pretty cool people, that are all there for the same reason; to make their lives better. I do Twoguns Training Systems customized membership which is semi-private personal training sessions two times a week and also make time for the large group metabolic training session(s) and occasionally “Hurricane” Saturdays. The Twoguns training sessions are tough and even though I whine during the workout, I ALWAYS feel great afterwards. I don’t feel defeated or wiped out. I feel accomplished. I feel strong. I feel confident.

After these 8 months with Danny, I am 35 pounds lighter and 2 pant sizes smaller. I have learned new ways to eat and I actually enjoy working out, even though I never admit it to Dan 🙂 Dan has coached me and taught me ways to better my life, which has allowed me to help others in their weight loss and fitness journey as well. For example, during one of the Twoguns Training System’s challenges, The Muffin Top Meltdown, we were encouraged to follow a specific eating plan created by Dan. Throughout the 6 week challenge I had my family follow the diet with me. Within those 6 weeks, my dad lost 22 pounds, my mom lost 13 pounds, and my sister lost 9 pounds. It was a great feeling that I could take what Dan had taught me and pass it on to other people, and it WORKED!

Joining Twoguns Training Systems was one of the greatest decisions of my life. I can’t wait to keep seeing more changes, not only to my body, but with my attitude and confidence. Changing my physical appearance has made me become more successful in both my personal and professional life, due to my increase in confidence, energy, and goal setting. I think better of myself; I now have a new perspective on my potential in life. I surprise myself everyday with the things that I can do, and it’s all because of Danny Twoguns!
