Weekend Motivation… 8/17

Towards the end of last week I was talking to one of my clients and she mentioned a horrible accident that occurred. I forget the details of it. The point though is that when I had told her that I had not heard about it her reply was, “It’s been all over the news. Don’t you watch the news?”

My answer to that was that no I do not and I purposely avoid watching the news. Rather successfully I may add. I never watch the news, not even a minute. Why?

The news is freaking depressing. Very rarely is something worthwhile on there. The vast majority of the news is either an insight to how tragic life can be (through accidents “generally” out of peoples control and unfortunate circumstance etc) or depressing insight to how much people can suck (murders, crimes etc). And honestly…

Dont Have Time For This Shit

Of course, no offense to anyone who watches the news but honestly, isn’t your everyday life enough on your plate without having to be brought down by all the bull on the news? It is way too negative and I definitely prefer to focus on the positive. I like things that motivate me and give me energy rather than depress me and steal my energy…

These may take you a little while to get through (though I imagine some of you have seen some of them already) but trust me in taking the time to get to even if it means coming back, it’s 100% worth it.

Here are a few positive things I came across this past week…

Opinions of Ashton Kutcher aside, this was unexpected and great. Annoying screaming girls can go away but other than that, I loved this.

More reasons why nothing is outside of your potential.

This was probably my favorite though I may be a bit bias haha.

“As normal as possible…whatever normal is…”

Dude has no arms, opens doors with his gym and drives a car with his feet. What was it that you/we weren’t capable of again?

This one isn’t along the same “motivational vein” as the ones prior but I did enjoy it nonetheless.

Hope everyone has a good rest of their weekend and got something positive out of at least one of the prior and hope it aided in getting you one step closer to your goal(s), whatever they may be.
