It has been a great, productive and busy week over on the Twoguns Training front and Im loving it. We started working with four new customized clients/members this week who are all killing it, changing their life and changing the way fitness is done.

On that same topic, we have our third installment of Guest Blogs from client success stories. This one comes from Leigh Ann and is one of my favorite testimonials/stories I received. I literally got goosebumps a couple of times while reading it and couldn’t be prouder of her story and her progress, as well as being proud and honor to have the privilege to be the catalyst in her transformation.

I’ll let her take over..

Leigh Ann Before

I’m Leigh Ann and I’m 29 years old and have struggled with my weight for the majority of my life. I have never been happy with my appearance and it’s something that I have on innumerable occasions attempted to change. I’ve tried a multitude of diets and exercises, but the weight always came back with a vengeance. Three years ago, I lost my brother and a dear family friend in a car accident. It was in the following two and a half years that I gained a very large quantity of weight. Then, with my 30th birthday looming at the end of the year, I made the conscious decision to go into my 30th year, healthier, happier and feeling better about myself. I decided I was going to change my eating habits and exercise regularly. I knew in my heart I would benefit from the expertise of a personal trainer.

I had always been nervous about meeting with or hiring a personal trainer, for the fear of being judged or them having expectations for me that would be beyond my ability which would only lead to discouragement. However, to my pleasant surprised after meeting with Dan all of my fears were put to rest, being relieved as I felt very at ease and hopeful of being able to succeed. I just felt good about working with him because I believed that he truly understood where I was coming from, was non-judgmental and he was clear about his plan for me.

He asked a lot of questions about my history, my health and my expectations and goals. I explained that I have carpel tunnel and a bad foot (which has been repaired through surgery twice now that causes issues and limitations). He was genuinely considerate, explaining his strategy and how we would work around and over overcome them. I felt very confident in his level of knowledge and his sincerity made me feel very comfortable. He truly cares about every person he works with and is fully invested in making a difference in their lives.

I have been working with Dan since the beginning of March 2013 and I’m very proud to say that I have lost a total of 40lbs. Every week that passes I feel stronger, healthier and more confident in my abilities and appearance. The weaknesses that I had at the beginning have begun to fade as he promised and my confidence has increased substantially

I recently completed his 6 week competition “Muffin’ Top Meltdown” and was impressed at my progress – through healthy eating habits outlined by Dan in his meal plan and very innovative workouts I was able to lose 17.5 lbs, 4% Body Fat, 8 inches off my waist, 4 inches off my hips and 2 inches off my arms in the 6 weeks.

What I enjoy the most about working with Dan is his knowledgeable and personalized use of functional movement exercises. Dan’s individual and group workouts are second to none because he has a way of continually inspiring and reassuring each individual to strive for their personal best. Dan is more than just a trainer; he is a friend whose dedication to everyone’s progress and success is undeniably apparent. Regardless of wherever a person begins their journey on the road to good health and wellbeing, do not, like me put off your success or be deterred by any limitations as Dan will quickly put your mind at ease because he works alongside you seeing that you will attain the goals that you have set.

Dan is considerate of designing and structuring a unique strategy for each person’s skill level and has a way of challenging and encouraging a person to do their best and push themselves to the best of their abilities. I can’t help but notice the major changes in my body over the course of the past 4 months. I’m able to do things that I never thought possible and I eagerly look forward to what else I will be able to conquer along my path. Above all I have accomplished thus far in my journey, the most important thing that Dan has succeeded in helping me with, is to believe in myself , which I have found to be utterly priceless; That alone has changed my life for the better. I have but one regret, waiting so long to become invested in this healthier version of me.

My Sincere and Indebted Thanks to Dan and the Twoguns Training System’s team.
